Description

“The Wall” is PHOTON Consulting’s proprietary software platform to deliver information, data and analysis about the global solar power sector to internal users and external clients. The Product Manager for The Wall is responsible for establishing, coordinating and implementing overall product priorities for The Wall.


 


Key elements of the job include leading development and execution of:



  • Product development cycle: Working with clients, prospects, marketing, research, sales and operations to identify and prioritize gaps between current and future market needs and current product capabilities

  • Product planning/budgeting:  Identification of product investment requirements, including justifying, communicating and managing to product development budgets and revenue forecasts. Product management function will  include product profit and loss responsibility

  • Technology platform and vendor selection and management: Identifying, evaluating and managing appropriate technology platforms and software, development and implementation resources to enable achieving product development goals within budgetary and timeline goals

  • Product revenue maximization:  Developing comprehensive sales support and marketing programs to enable sales team success in taking the Wall to market. Will include, but not be limited to: working with marketing team to develop sales collateral, training sales team on effective means of communicating and supporting the product value proposition to potential clients, and supporting sales team in developing and closing well qualified sales leads

  • Existing client support: Maximize retention of existing client base revenue and profit through proactive engagement with and understanding of existing client needs, including managing product enhancement requests, identifying and communicating up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, and establishing and managing an organizational customer support capability


 


Job Requirements:



  • Demonstrated track record of leading and managing software product development efforts, including identification of market requirements and management of diverse sets of internal stakeholders and external development and implementation teams

  • Demonstrated track record of driving software product revenue growth  

  • Experience in sales and/or product marketing support, including development of software product marketing collateral and success in client-facing sales engineering roles

  • At least 5-8 years of relevant functional experience, including software product management, technology development project management, and/or sales and marketing roles. Relevant industry experience in the fields of financial services, global energy and/or information technology research a plus.

  • Strong analytical written and oral communications skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus)

  • This position will report to the Head of Operations.
